360820 MDDC CUA Banner 586 x 190 Fall Volunteer Leadership Conference Promises to Amaze and Inspire!

Registration is now open for Cooperative Credit Union Association’s Volunteer Leadership Conference to be held at The Clarion Hotel in Ocean City, MD on October 7-9.

Co-hosted with the MD|DC Credit Union Association, this popular fall conference brings together credit union volunteers, committee members and key staff from Delaware, D.C., Maryland and surrounding states for a unique networking and educational experience.

This year’s line-up of speakers promises to be the best yet! The opening keynoter, Meagan Johnson, is known as the “Generational Humorist” and has an outspoken, take-no-prisoners Gen X attitude that challenges her audiences to think differently and act decisively when dealing with multiple generations. Each generation has a different perception of what motivates them. Meagan will help you think more about the kinds of methods to use to reach out to the New Millennium, Gen X and Baby Boomer generations.

Additional sessions include:

  • Credit Union System Update – with Paul Gentile, CEO, CCUA & John Bratsakis, CEO, MD|DC CUA
  • Aligning Risk Management with Credit Union Business Strategy – presented by Chris Gill, CUNA Mutual Group
  • Growing Against the Grain: Best Practice Revenue Thrival Strategies for a Changing Economy –  with John Vardallas, The American BoomeR.com

The closing keynoter, Lieutenant Colonel Robert J. Darling, USMC (Ret.) supported the president, vice president and national security advisor in the president’s Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) on September 11, 2001. Lt. Col. Darling will share the principles of crisis leadership and decision making with an “edge of your seat” presentation that’ll take you from the moment the attack was realized, to the courageous decisions made to stop it, to the safeguards and policies our country now has in-place in an attempt to prevent it from ever happening again. A not-to-be-missed presentation!
