Principal DCUL member benefits for the individual credit unions may be summarized
in the following areas:
UNITY AND STRENGTH means that credit
unions can accomplish those things that no single credit
union working alone could ever accomplish, as part of
a nationwide credit union system with over 87 million
members and 9,100 credit unions nationwide.
OPERATIONAL AND MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE
is a continuous flow of assistance and technical information
to credit unions.
STATE AND FEDERAL LEGISLATIVE ACTION
protects the interests of credit unions by providing
a link with credit union supervisory agencies, such
as the National
Credit Union Administration (NCUA), as well as state
and federal decision-makers.
INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION is provided
by League and national publications, such as TOGETHER,
Delcu News, and CUNA'S Newswatch.
EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES are available
through statewide and regional meetings, conferences,
and workshops; training materials and actual training
of credit union personnel; and a lending library of
audio and visual aids, books, and other publications.
PUBLIC RELATIONS AND MARKETING provide
credit union exposure in order to develop increased
membership and member participation in each individual
credit union.
DELAWARE LEAGUE SERVICES (DLS) CORPORATION
provides credit unions and their members with competitively-priced
goods and services obtained through marketing
agreements with business partners
and associates. The DLS is also a member of the
Mid-Atlantic Regional Service Corporation (MARS), which
provides a regional network of products and services
to member credit unions.
LEAGUE RELATED CREDIT UNION ORGANIZATIONS
League membership includes membership in the Credit
Union National Association (CUNA) and access to
its many related organizations and services, CUNA
Mutual Group, and the World
Council of Credit Unions.
